GILLANDERS, Hazel June (nee Degerness)

Passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday Sept 21, 2014 at the age of 88. Hazel is survived by her loving husband George – her 4 children Don, Beth, Bruce and Joe – 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren – siblings Eva, Ona and Lyle. Hazel was predeceased by her brothers Vernon, Albert and sister Edith.
Hazel was a caring mother, wonderful homemaker, a great friend to many. George and Hazel celebrated 64 wedding anniversaries together! She was dearly loved and will be missed!
There will be an internment service for Hazel on Monday Sept 29 at 11:30 A.M. at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to Hospice House, 2035 Ethel St. Kelowna. BC V1Y 2Z6 or at Hospicecoha.org. or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Dear Family, So Sorry for your Loss. I was a friend of Hazel’s in the old Fairy Glen Days. Hazel was a very fine Lady with those lovely big brown eyes and calm and cheerful manner.
