GOGEL, Albert

Albert Gogel passed away on December 28, 2014 at the age of 82. Predeceased by his wife Helen: along with his own Mom and Dad and brothers: Walter, Rieny, Dave, John, Joe, Herb, Seig and brother-in-love Ed Tiede. He leaves behind a daughter Ilana and son Trevor David; along with his brother Gary (Connie); sisters Mary Tiede, Rose (Lloyd), Michie and Lil Gogel. As well as sisters-in-love: Hertha, Gayle, Daphne, Issy, Joan, Irma. He will also be missed by his wife’s side of the family, the Longs, as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Al was born December 29, 1931 on the farm at Serath, Saskatchewan and married Helen Long November 11, 1961.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, an organization that Al helped immensely or to Communitas Ministry for the work that they continue to do on Trevor David’s behalf.  A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Friday, Jan 2, 2015 at 1:00pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.  If you wish to send a condolence, post photos or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

    I am so very saddened to hear about the loss of your father. Al was always so very pleasant and kind. I still miss your Mom and my friend, Helen. I hope you have some comfort in knowing your Mom and Dad are together again.
