We Remember

GOODIN, Beverly Louise

July 14, 1958 — September 20, 2021

Beverly passed peacefully away on September 20, 2021.

Born in the capital of Saskatchewan, Bev was raised on a farm near the small town of Willow Bunch, SK. In 1977, she, along with her husband, Rheal, and baby daughter, moved to Kelowna, BC. She found work, added to & raised her family, and settled into her Okanagan life. A unique aspect of that life included winning a swimsuit contest, but she wasn’t just good looks, she also took home a trophy for Woman’s Lightweight Arm Wrestling! Bev was a loving and compassionate person.  Always smiling and cheerful, she lit up every room she entered and made people laugh.  Bev loved to dance and to go camping.

When at home, Bev loved to cook, bake, and host family gatherings. She always put her family first, and she was a loving, devoted mother to all of her three children. She was an AMAZING mother, and she also adored her grand- and great-grandchildren. Her family will miss her dearly.

She leaves behind her children Yolonda, Ellie, and Mason; her grandchildren Paige, Tiana, Samantha, Zakk, and Hanna; her great-grandchildren Savannah and Lily; and her sister Karen. A Special mention goes to her best friend who always stood by her side, Dave Halbauer.

A Graveside Service will be held to lay Beverly to rest at the Kelowna Memorial Cemetery, however, due to the current pandemic restrictions it will be by invitation only. As an expression of sympathy, flowers may be sent.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

  • Arlene Davidson says:

Bev and I met in 1976 when we were both 18 years old . We followed them home from Kelowna on our move to Regina Sask in their yellow Volkswagen Beetle , we became very good friends immediately, I have always known Bev to be a very gentle and kind person , who loved her children and family very much. I was there at the Regina hospital when Bev first daughter Yolonda was born and she was also with me at the hospital for me when I had my first daughter in Regina . We stayed good friends always over the years even when we didn’t see each often over the years we could always pick up our friendship instantly , never did we ever have a disagreement between us . Bev has and will always have a special place in my heart forever .
Sending my heartfelt condolences and love to all of her 3 children Yolonda , Ellie, Mason & their families , and also to Karen Goodin her sister. xoxoxo

    Fare Thee Well Bev ,
    Love Always
