We Remember
GREEN, Adaline
July 27, 1950 — August 14, 2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one, Adaline Ann Green “Baba”. Adaline was a lover of Jesus and passed into his peaceful arms Saturday evening.
She is survived by her husband Floyd; her sons Shayne (Lisa) and Dustin (Liz); her lovely grandchildren Hannah, Riley, Isaiah, Jenna, Kailus, Mikayla, her sisters Connie (Ted), Iris, Andriana (Todd); sisters-in-law Beverley and Sandy; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her dad August; mom Olga; and brothers Dale and Dennis.
Adaline was born in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, the first of six children born to August and Olga Ewanchuk. In her early years, Adaline lived with her family in the communities of Whitkow, Saskatchewan and Hythe, Alberta. She married the love of her life Floyd on August 25, 1969, and after a brief stop in Quesnel, BC and 12 years living in Rapid View, Saskatchewan, Adaline found herself moving with Floyd and her two sons to Kelowna BC, where she lived the rest of her days.
Adaline made a significant impression on her community over the years, greeting you with a smile as one of the friendliest bank tellers you’ll ever meet, cutting or styling your hair as a hair stylist, or patrolling the school yards to ensure the safety of your children as a noon hour supervisor. She was often seen warming a seat and cheering on her sons, grandkids, nieces and nephews at numerous rinks, ballparks, theatres, and school gyms, worshiping with you at church, hosting a monumental Christmas party, or birthday bash, and just enjoying a good old-fashioned visit or coffee with you wherever and whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Adaline’s love of God, family, and friends kept her life full, and she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have met her.
Forever in our hearts,
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You’ve never failed and you won’t start now
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever you would call me

My condolences to Floyd and family. As Adaline’s sister-in-law for 25 years we shared many significant emotional events and I will always remember planning many family celebrations with her. She was always Floyd’s, Shayne’s and Dustin’s biggest fan in all their sports. She was an amazing cook, gardener, home maker, preserved years supplies of best jams & pickles & vegetables. I am so sorry to hear of her suffering the last little while. May she Rest In Peace.

We hope that your wealth of happy memories of your life together will be a real support in this time of sorrow. From our family to yours, deepest sympathy.

Floyd, Shayne, Dustin and families
Our sincere condolences at this very difficult time. I’m remembering our great visits in AZ and our last visit in Kelowna thinking at the time how much we could enjoy each other’s company when we convinced you both to retire and spend time in AZ. Adeline had a way of making everyone feel like a best friend. She had an infectious smile and warm hug anytime she saw you. Our thoughts will be with all of you as you face these difficult days ahead. May all your fond memories bring you some comfort.
Floyd, Shayne, Dustin and families,
We’d like to extend our deepest sympathies to you in the loss of your wife and mom/mom in law. We know she will be missed terribly by her grandchildren, siblings, family and friends. The miles between us made seeing her difficult, but thoughts were always with her. Sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. Love to all, Aunty Sylvia, cousin Zora and Patrick
My greatest sympathy Floyd and family. Adelaine was a great lady.
We send our sad condolences to Floyd and the Green family. Many good memories of our times together will forever be stored in our memory banks….like that crazy trip to Hawaii and so many baseball tournaments With love, Heather & Jim
