We Remember
GREENAWAY, Gwendolyn
May 25, 1924 — November 27, 2021
On November 27, 2021, the long, rich, and simple life of Gwen Greenaway came, peacefully, to an end. Born 97 years ago in Kamsack, SK, Gwen attended school in Toronto, ON. She moved back to Saskatchewan, met and married John Greenaway, and raised three children. After John’s retirement, she and John moved to Kelowna, BC. True to her prairie roots, she was strong-willed and intelligent, she loved music and loved her family. Gwen’s legacy is in her children, Robert (Barbara) and Kenneth (Janet), and her grandson Nathan. She was sadly predeceased by her husband John and their eldest son Richard.

We only met you a couple of times Gwen but your sweet smile and feisty disposition were very much enjoyed! Rest softly in peace.
We are sad to hear of you mother’s passing. She was first cousin to my Mum, Vera Davies.
We met you at Beth and Orville’s, possibly Christmastime in the 1990’s.
I had a good visit with Gwen in Kelowna in summer of 2019 and have talked a few times to her since.
Her cousin Amy had just talked to her the day before.
She certainly lived a long life and will be missed.
Sincerely, Cousin Margo (AKA Landie) and Bob Waterman , Campbell River, BC
