GRYBA, Richard Kevin

Passed away suddenly on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the age of 49. He is survived by his mother Dora (Roger) Lemmerick, father Rev. Dr. Casey (Char) Gryba and wife Lila Gryba. Richard was predeceased by his step father Wendell Silbernagel (1999), step brother David Silbernagel (1999) and brother Curtis Gryba (2006). Also left to grieve are his many aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends. Richard made many cherished friends who were touched by knowing him. A celebration of Richard’s life will be held at 2725 Thacker Drive on Saturday, June 15 at 1:00 pm. Donations may be made in Richards’s name to the Kelowna Gospel Mission, P.O.     I spent some time with Richard the afternoon before he passed away, so I was shocked to hear that he was gone. Richard was one of the nicest people I have ever known. He had a big heart and a big hug for everyone. His home was always open to his friends and he was a very positive person to be around. I will miss him, but I know he is now at peace. My sincere condolences to his mother Dora, his family, and his friends.

    Shamefully I admit it’s been way too many years since I’ve seen ‘chard….and now I am so saddened to learn of his passing. My condolences to his family. His many friends and all the lives who he touched are a true testament to the kind, funny, warm person that he was…. he will be missed so much

    I am so very sorry to know you have lost your Son Richard, Dora.—- (Sherri our daughter who knew Richard and went to school with him ) and I chatted about it a few days ago .. We all feel so sad to know that you have lost both your sons now
