Norman Haas passed away on April 22, 2023, at the age of 82. He departed peacefully, with his family by his side.
Norman will be dearly missed by his family: his sons, Raymond (Brenda) Haas and Thomas Haas; grandchildren, Jessica (Lorne) Kittlitz, Katherine (Henk) Oberholzer, and Nicole (Martin) Goshulak; great-grandchildren, Kaydence, Carter, Ainsley, and Finnley; his sister, Alice (Fred) Merz; and his dear friend Elisabeth Koller and her family; as well as by his many extended family members in Canada, Germany, and Australia.

Norman was a kind soul that was loved by everyone. His sons have fond memories of fishing and hunting with him as children and into their adulthood. Norman’s willingness to lend a helping hand or offer advice was always welcomed. His grandchildren will miss his kindness, Sunday brunches, and his love for the game of golf. They will also miss listening to stories of his childhood and when he immigrated to Canada as a boy. His great-grandchildren will miss the boxes of smarties he always had waiting for them when they came to visit.

Ray and Brenda, so sorry to hear the news of Norms passing. Norm use to work with my dad Egon and Norm was a household name at our place. Whenever my dad spoke of Norm it was always accompanied with much laughter and great stories. The two of them went through a lot. We just wanted to send our deepest condolences to all of you during this difficult time.
We are sorry to hear of Norm’s passing. Residing in our neighborhood, Norm shared his big smile, his friendly wave and a hearty laugh. We’ll miss our curbside visits and the many stories he told. Sending condolences to the whole family.
