We Remember

HAGBLOM, Jennifer

June 1, 1969 — April 19, 2023

Jennifer Ann Hagblom passed away at the age of 53, on April 19, 2023, at the Central Okanagan Hospice House after a brief, but fierce, battle with cancer. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Tessa (Cam); as well as her brother David (Kara). Jennifer was predeceased by her parents, Bruce & Yvonne, and her sister, Sue.

Born in Coquitlam, BC on June 1, 1969, Jen moved to Kelowna with her family in 1981 where she grew up working in the family business and becoming a typical teenager. She spent some time bouncing around the lower mainland, California, and Calgary until the birth of her daughter, whereupon Jen returned to Kelowna, where she quickly readapted to the Okanagan lifestyle that she loved. After putting herself through school and various bookkeeping positions, she found a home at Falcon Refrigeration, where she loved “bossing the boys around”!

Her passions were many, but none could surpass her obsession with the New York Giants. Her favourite colour was pink, would rarely be caught in anything other than flip-flops, and enjoyed her crantinis on the deck (light on the cran!). She loved to play pool, camping and fishing, and travelling, having visited Mexico, Cuba, Vegas and more.

Jen’s confidence was inspiring, and she always made her presence known. She was a big-hearted force of nature; we will remember her always.

The family would like to thank the Central Okanagan Hospice House; they are so grateful for the excellent care given.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mamas for Mamas, who offer a community without barriers to raising healthy, happy children.

Deeply saddened by the loss of this spark of a woman, met over a game pool at the bud room. She basically cleaned my clock!! This is truly a great and premature loss for us all!
