It is with sadness and love that we share the passing of Al Hait, he departed peacefully and is now in the presence of his Lord.  Al leaves to mourn his loving wife of 67 years, Janet; his three sons, Dave (Janice), Greg (Patti), and Jim (Melanie); his grandchildren, Amanda, Brendan (Kaitlyn), Ryan, Darren, and Kaylan. He also leaves behind his siblings, Betty, Ron, Freida, Joyce, and Leona. He was predeceased by his grandson, Jordan (d. 1994), and siblings, Dorthy, Don, and Erna.

Al later met and married Janet Rode in Kelowna on July 6, 1956.  In 1960, Al built their house on an acreage which they settled on in 1961 and farmed hay crops. In addition to farming, Al worked as a General Contractor (Al Hait Contracting) built many houses and as a Finishing Carpenter for Three Buoys Houseboats and Campion Boats.
