We Remember

HAMBLIN, Adrian

October 8, 1980 — June 14, 2026

Adrian Hamblin passed away on June 14, 2026, at the age of 45.

Music was in Adrian from the start. She grew up surrounded by it and had a genuinely beautiful voice, trained in opera, and once won a prize for it. She loved to dance, and in the winter you’d find her out on a snowboard or snowshoeing through it rather than hiding from it.

Adrian met the love of her life, Glenn, on a beach in Kelowna, and the two went on to share 25 years together. She spent more than 20 years working as a nurse, bringing the same kindness and care to her patients that she brought to everyone in her life. She kept her social circle small and close, the way she liked it.

At home, she was completely devoted to her dog, Wilson – also known as Willy, also known as Chicken Legs, depending on the day. Adrian was a proud midnight snacker, and Lucky Charms never stood a chance once the lights went out.

Adrian is survived by her spouse, Glenn; her mother, Anne; and her aunts, Joy and Kathryn.

Memorial donations in memory of Adrian may be sent to BC SPCA.

A service to honour Adrian will be held in the fall.

Condolences

  • Amanda Thomson says:

Adrian was my work wife for a few years on the cardiac floor. Her goofy nature helped me survive long understaffed nights as a new nurse. She helped shape the nurse I am today —- as she did many others too. I am forever thankful to have had the honour to learn from her and work along side her. My life has been forever touched by her and I know she has touched countless lives in the work she has done and that her impact will continue to touch lives long after she has passed. She will be missed more than words can ever explain. And oh my goodness —- I will miss her hugs, she truly gave the biggest and best hugs that made you feel so seen and valued.

  • Kathy Hobart says:

  • Shannon Jensen says:

To all of Adrian’s family and friends I am so very sorry. I had the honour of graduating nursing school with this Gem as well as working with her at KGH. Adrian was always warm and bubbly and we shared inner jokes and friendship. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences
    Shannon

  • Lori Matson says:

Glenn, Anne, Joy & Kathryn: We are heartbroken for your loss. Amy meant so much to us and will be deeply missed. We are thinking of you and sending love during this devastating time. With love, Lori & Steve

  • Marlee Albrecht says:

In the relatively short time I spent working with Adrian as a nurse, she had a major impact on my nursing practice. She had a no-bullshit, above and beyond caring approach and top notch instincts. I was so grateful to be able to learn from her. Her devotion to the things she loves will be deeply missed from this world.
