We Remember
HAMMER, Maria
November 5, 1942 — October 4, 2012
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our cherished mother Maria Hammer on October 4, 2012 in KGH.
She will be missed by many, including her daughters, Lynn and Connie and her grandchildren Cameron, Morgan and Zoey with whom she enjoyed spending time. Maria was predeceased by her parents and brothers Stewart and Ken. She devoted herself to her girls. She taught them independence and gave them strength. She lived her 69 years with dignity and courage. Later in life she returned to school and became a nurse. After retirement she became an avid golfer. Maria was also very talented in painting and sewing. Our walls and closets are filled with her love.
At her request, there will be no service. Donations to the KGH Foundation would continue to honour her life and help others.

I’m sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Maria and enjoyed her quiet, kind and caring spirit. So good to hear she had fun with her hobbies and time with her Grandchildren after retirement. Wendy Henly
