  • The Bolt Supply House says:

    Hello,

It is with great sadness that we learned that Ty finally lost his battle with cancer.

Ty was well-liked by his friends and colleagues at Bolt for his openness, enthusiasm for life and great spirit. In addition to being a tireless worker, Ty was a positive influence in the company who always had time for customers and his fellow workers. It was a real loss for us when Ty decided to move on but we knew he would do well at whatever he decided to pursue.

On behalf of The Bolt Supply House, I would like to offer our condolences on Ty’s passing. He will be truly missed.

    Regards Kurt

I am so sorry to hear of Tyler’s passing.

I attended school with Tyler through West Dover, Baz and Forest Lawn. Although we did not stay in touch after school, the memories of him are burned in my mind; he had a quick smile, a sharp wit and was a true and loyal friend.

May you all be comforted in the days ahead.

My condolences to Kristy and Ty,s family. I met Ty when he graduated from High School and worked with my wife Sher at Bolt Supply in Calgary while he pursed his flying career and built his time up. We shared a great passion for flying and was so impressed that he followed his dream and became a comercial pilot. He was also was one of the most genuine people I have ever come across in my 52 years of life and feel honored that I got to spend time with him and call him a friend. 2 summers ago myself and Sher visited Kristy and Ty while we were in Kelowna and caught up on all the changes in our lives and his. We will cherish that visit for the rest of our lives and he will forever be in our thoughts and prayers. I will miss you buddy.

  • Tom Hartai says:

    Sandy/Rick and Kristy:
Sandy I have been following your son’s story through Heather Hope in Ontario who is an employee and a friend of mine. My name is Tom Hartai. I am a fellow pilot and a brain tumour survivor. I wanted you and all your family to know how sorry I am for your loss. I am also a father of 2 great children and cannot begin to know how you are feeling. I have become quite active with the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada since my scarey ordeal. I have learned that 27 Canadians are diagnosed with a brain tumour every day. There is so much that is not known about brain tumours..but the Foundation is making progress to help find answers like what causes them and how best to treat them.
As the President of our local COPA Chapter 177 (Canadian Owners and Pilots Assoc)I wish to also extend to you all of our deepest condolences on the loss of a fellow pilot, but more importantly, your son and husband. In memory of Ty and with your permission I would like to inform our National monthly publication (COPA Flight)of the bursary you have set up in Ty’s memory…and perhaps different
Flying Clubs or individuals can donate from across Canada. Ty’s memory will live on. Please let Heather know and she will let me know.
    God’s Blessings to you all.

To Kristy and family, we are saddened for your huge loss.
“Your loved one is not gone, just shifted.
Heaven is not a faraway cloud in the sky;it is parallel to earth at a higher vibrational frequency.Just like radio and television stations are next to each other on the dial but at different bandwidths, so too two is your loved one to you. You can feel his presence as a vibration. Each person has a vibrational frequency, like a snowflake’s individuality. So if you think about your loved one, trust that this sign that he is with you.”

As the song says he has left YLW and has gone “higher”
Our thoughts are with all of you.
    Love Ron and Bonnie Nutz
