I wish to offer my sincere condolences to the family. We were neighbors of the Hands family in the Delia district for many years. Two years ago in September I spent a wonderful few hours visiting with Bob at his home in Kelowna. We shared stories and had a lot of laughs together. There was a lot of “Do you remember…?” I am so grateful for that. He was a great man, and will be sorely missed.
We are so saddened by your great loss. Thanks to Bob, I have an incredible life today, one day at a time. I will fondly remember many fun golf trips and his forever smiling face. We are honoured to have known both parents?
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Bob was a wonderful friend and mentor. He did so much for so many, most often in a quiet, unassuming way. He will be missed.
I am so saddened by your loss……Bob always had a smile on his face! He helped so many people.

My condolences go out to the Hands family. I grew up on a farm in the Delia area, a mere 3 miles from the Hands farm. That would be “next door neighbors” in Alberta farm country. Close to 30 years ago, I too became a friend of Bill W’s and reconnected with Bob. Over the years we would meet over a cup of coffee, or a game of golf. Since I retired and moved to the Okanagan Valley, and in partular since our move to Kelowna this spring, I became much closer to Bob, we just had so much in common.
I will forever miss his broad smile, his sense of humour, and his wisdom – both at ‘meetings’ and at morning coffee at the Mall.
Rob, Lori and family, Very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing.
