    Hello Barbara & Family,

Villia & I send our deepest condolences to you & your family at this sad time along with our thoughts and prayers.

It was just the other day Villia & I were speaking about how we enjoyed our Holidays spent here in Dubai at David & Marcia house with you and Jim over the years. Jim had such a great personality and filled the room with laughter, no one could ever be in a bad mood around Jim.

The places around the world you and Jim have lived and worked are plenty, this also means Jims personality has touched the hearts and souls of many around the world and will never be forgotten.

Barbara please do let us know if there is anything Villia and I can do for you or your family to make this time easier for you.

We are thinking of you at this sad time,

    Sincerely

    Villia, Hailey & Wally

I am saddened to learn of Jim’s passing & my sincere condolences to you. Jim was a larger than life character & I admired his great sense of humour & zest for life. He could also turn a quiet game of Monopoly into a blood sport!

  • Bob MacMillan says:

    Dear Barbara,

Heather, Rory and I share your grief and loss at Jim’s sudden passing. We have enjoyed and benefitted much from your long and constant friendship and from learning from Jim how to appreciate how “Life is Grand”. I still remember some children in Tanzania, upon first meeting Jim, breaking into a chorus of “Old Jim Hannah, oh don’t you cry for me”. We will try not to cry for Jim but rather to remember his maxim that life is grand and is meant for living. He certainly lived large and encouraged others, including me, to live a little larger ourselves. We have many fond memories of experiences made larger by Jim’s gusto and enthusiasm. We value and honorary these shared times.

  • Bob MacMillan says:

I was not able to submit two photos with the same entry. Here is one of Jim and Barbara. Bob MacMillan

  • John and Jeanette Morgan says:

    Dear Barbara,
On this day (Jan10) John and I are thinking of you and wishing we could be with you. We have such wonderful memories of Jim and his infectious sense of humor. He had many expressions but the one that stands out for us is “I like it! I like it a lot!”. Every time we hear or use those words we will remember him. As others have mentioned, Jim lived life large and did encourage those around him to do the same. He will be missed by many.
