We Remember
HARGREAVES, Debra “Debbe”
April 10, 1954 — December 23, 2024
The family of Debra “Debbe” Hargreaves are deeply saddened to announce her unexpected, peaceful passing, at the age of 70, in the comfort of her home on December 23, 2024.
Left to hold her dear to their hearts are those she loved most, including her loving spouse of 44 wonderful and happy years, Kevan “Gooch”; two sons Adam and Taylor; brother Mason and sister-in-law Robin; brother Derek; and two beloved dogs, Amber and Jango; as well as many extended family members and close friends.
Debbe was born on April 10, 1954, in Mission BC, to James and Annabelle Hargreaves. To know Debbe was to love her – she had an open heart, an open mind, and the warmest beautiful smile. She was easy going, never speaking a bad word about anyone, and she had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether it was lending a helping hand to a friend, or offering kindness to a stranger, Debbe’s generosity knew no bounds, and everyone loved her for it.
She had a deep love for life and made sure to celebrate every moment. Holidays and birthdays were never just another day on the calendar – they were grand events, especially Christmas. Debbe would spend days decorating her home, inside and out, filling it with love, festive lights, joy, and holiday spirit. In retirement, she embraced winter and summer adventures, spending quality time with her loving family and friends.
Debbe will never be forgotten and will always be remembered for her kindness, her warming smile, and her sparkling personality. She touched countless lives, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC SPCA, or an animal shelter of your choice, a cause close to Debbe’s heart.
