We Remember
HARRISON, Maureen Jane
December 15, 1952 — May 3, 2025
With heavy hearts and enduring love, we announce the passing of Maureen Harrison on May 3, 2025, in Kelowna, BC. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Maureen (known affectionately as Mo) touched countless lives with her warmth, kindness, and quiet strength.
Born in Bowden, Alberta, Maureen later moved to Calgary, where she built a life full of compassion and grace. In 1992, she married Martin Harrison, and together they created a loving, blended family.
She is survived by her husband Martin; children Byron (Meggan), Matthew (Kristen) and Zoë (Jim); grandchildren Davin, Jayden, Liam, Rhiannon, Eva, and Denmark (Autumn); great-grandsons Luca and Micah; sisters Marilyn (Marcel) and Colleen (Dale); and many cherished relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Christine; parents, Eva and Reg; and brother, John – loved ones she held close in memory.
Maureen had a quiet passion for life: she adored cats, nurtured gardens, cheered for the Montreal Canadiens, and was rarely without a book in hand. Her greatest joy and happiness, however, came from time spent with family (whom she loved unconditionally) – sharing meals, laughter, and love.
Gentle and nurturing, Maureen leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, love, and affection. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of her life will be held in Bowden; details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Cancer.
Forever in our hearts, we will always love you, Mo.
