Dear Jim and family,
Needless to say, I was shocked to get Rob’s call. Both Fred & I send our deepest sympathy to all of you. Linda was a wonderful person–great friend, wife,
mother and grandma–she’ll be missed. And I will always remember all the good times we had on Robson. Love Marg.
Dear Jim, Rob, and Jennifer,
We are so sorry to hear of Linda’s passing. As I write I am flooded with memories from my childhood and growing up next door. Linda was always cooking or baking or sewing something. Sewing the dresses for my wedding and being my Matron of Honor. So many more good times. Frank and I send you our thoughts, prayers and love during this time. Frank and Jani.
Dear Mr. H, Rob, Jennifer and families,
Our heartfelt condolences go out to you at this time. Mrs. H always had a welcoming smile and a hello and was always interested in how we were doing. A great soul and a beautiful lady. She will be missed. We were happy to have the chance to talk with the two of you before your trip to Hawaii in March.
All our love,
Denise and Darrin Paley
Jim, Rob and Jennifer

Whether it be a smile when they were sad, or a school starts at 0900 SHARP! Thank you Linda for being part of our children’s education. You will always be remembered.
Jim, Rob, Jennifer and Families
I am so sorry to hear of your loss and my thoughts are with all of you. I have many happy memories of my ‘grown up’ cousin Linda and her tall husband Jim who were always happy to see us and welcomed us any time we saw eachother over the years.
Linda was a strength for many around her. Throughout the family, but also no doubt amongst friends and others. That probably makes this even harder for you all.
Take care of eachother.
Jim, Rob, Jennifer and all your families
Grandpa Bill and I are sorry to hear of your loss. We were pleased Linda had such clarity as recently as our telephone call just a few weeks ago.
Linda had such strength through life and even to the end.
We will, along with all of you, miss her and we will be thinking of all the things in life she was so proud of…. all of you.
To the Hartmier Family:
Our family remembers Linda with so many wonderful memories as she was such a part of our lives for many years in the School District 23. She will be sadly missed and remembered by many whose lives she touched through the years.
Condolences to you all.
With sympathy

I was so sorry to learn of Linda’s passing. She was such a positive person and one who loved a good laugh. I will always remember our lunches with fondness as Linda did love to “do lunch”. My prayers will be with you on Saturday
Lynne
So sorry for your loss Jim.
I always enjoyed getting High-fives from Linda and you before and after the Kelowna Rocket games
Hi Jen & Family we’re very sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. You have our deepest sympathy. Jerry & Joanne
Hi Jen & family 2nd message. We are truly sorry for your loss. Jerry & Joanne
Mrs. Hartmier was always so accommodating to me as a child at Ellison Elementary. When I had migraine headaches at school, she would let me lie down in the staff room, turn off the lights, and crush up my medication into a spoon, pouring syrup on top just so that it would taste good. Linda was an amazing woman, and I’ll always remember her for her compassion and extremely kind heart. <3
So sorry that you have lost Linda. I will remember her through Rutland Minor Softball , seeing you both at the Rockets games and other places. She always had that pleasant smile . I regret that we have commitments which will keep us from attending the celebration of Linda’s life however, our thoughts are and will be with you . Condolences to all the family. Jim& Sharon
My heart goes out to you and your family at this time. Mrs. Heartmier was a wonderful beautiful soul I had the pleasure to know when I attended Ellison Elementary many many years ago. I remember her being such a happy woman who always had a nice word or a hug to give. She will be missed by many. Much much love to you and you family. May she live on in your hearts.
With much love, strength and light and sympathies,
Laura

I am deeply saddened to hear about Mrs. Hartmier’s passing. I have known Rob and the Hartmiers’ for as long as I can remember.
To me, Mrs. Hartmier was like a Mom you would see on TV, I never saw her upset or angry, always calm and collected .My overwhelming memory is of a person who radiated happiness. She was as kind and caring a person as there ever was to walk the Earth, and those of us who were fortunate enough to know her were blessed indeed, because people like Mrs. Hartmier are extremely rare.
She was clearly destined to raise kids and have a family, and treated everyone who came into her home as though they were her own. She was always there to support her kids and their friends as we grew, always offering encouragement.
There is no blueprint to follow when mourning the loss of such a special person, no set period of time after which grief passes. But I will try to focus on the many good memories I have of growing up among the Hartmier family, instead of being sad, because I know that’s what she would want.
My heart goes out to the Hartmier family, but I am comforted by the fact that they have even more memories of happiness and love from her than all the rest of us put together.
The Hayes family will remember her fondly, forever.
-Darrin Hayes
Jim, Rob, Jen and family. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts go back to elementary days when Rob, Darrin and ‘boys’ went to school and played ball. May God grant you all peace of mind and comfort. She was a good mom!!!!!
