We Remember
Hartwick, Richard
August 3, 1941 — January 4, 2012
Rick hit a home run and ran bravely into the arms of his heavenly father on January 4th, 2012.
Gone before him were his parents Dick and Clara Hartwick and his in-laws Eric and Erna Krieg – all of Kelowna. Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife Renae and their two sons; Grant (Dale) and their children Corey (Chris) and Chelsea of Whitehorse; and Mark (Christine) and their children Sophia and Matthew of West Kelowna.
Rick was a great older brother and will be greatly missed by his three siblings; sisters Karen (Steve) Vizi of West Kelowna and Patricia (Ron) Humeniuk of Kelowna; and his brother Dennis (Betsy) of Kamloops. Rick was dearly loved and respected by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Rick worked hard and played hard. He always had a project on the go and was generous with his time and many talents. Anyone who knew Rick will cherish his memory and remember him as a gentle man of strength, humility, and selflessness.
Rick’s funeral was held at Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery on January 14th, 2012 at the Hartwick family plot. In honour of Rick and his life, please hug your loved ones and lend a helping hand to those in need.
So sorry to hear the sad news of your brother’s passing. It sounds as if he
