We Remember
HEMINSLEY, Alan “Al” Ross
—
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Al Heminsley, on Sunday, July 25, 2021, at Kelowna Hospice House.
Al was born on August 28, 1962, in North Vancouver, BC to parents Barbara and Frank Heminsley.
Al started his 30-year career as a carpenter with Norson Construction LLP in 1991. He was very well respected as a reliable, skilled carpenter, and had many colleagues who were good friends. He worked on a wide selection of commercial and industrial construction projects across the lower mainland.
Al was a gentle, kind, and funny man. He had a wicked sense of humor, and he will be sadly missed.
Al is survived by his wife Sandy; his brothers Chris and Geoff; his cat Levi; step-mother Linda; and step-brother Andrew.
Because Al loved cats, memorial donations in Al’s honour may be sent to a SPCA near you.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
Al started with the Norson family 3 years before me. He was a valued employee throughout his career. Dependable, Knowledgeable, team player! Even though Al didn’t drive for many years he was always available for his shifts no matter where the project was, pretty impressive! We’ll all miss you Al, thanks for your many contributions!
I am very sorry for your loss and wish your family strength during this difficult time.
