HEMMINGER, Adolf

November 24, 1927 — February 10, 2024

On February 10, 2024, Adolf Hemminger went home to be with his Lord and Saviour at the age of 96 years.

Adolf was born on November 24, 1927, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He farmed in Stead, Manitoba, where he met and married the love of his life, Selma. In the spring of 1963, they moved to Kelowna, where he worked at the sawmill until retirement. Adolf was very dedicated and active in his church, First Lutheran, where he served in many capacities.

Adolf will be greatly missed by his children, Cecelia Jantz, Gail (Bob) Hildenbrandt, Robert (Sheila) Hemminger; 7 grandchildren, Rachael (Aaron), Heather (Decklun), Emma (Lindsay), Travis, Jeffrey, Rochelle, and Melissa; and 2 great-grandchildren, Adelyn and Lily. He now goes to join those who went before him, including his wife Selma; his parents Adolf and Karolina Hemminger; brothers John, Christof, Louie, Ferdinand, Erich; and sisters Mary, Olga, Natalie, and Helene.

We love you, Opa.

Rest in the arms of Jesus.
