We Remember
HENZIE, Danny William
—
Dan Henzie passed away at the age of 73, on Dec 26, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Dan was born in Vancouver, BC and moved to Winfield, BC at the age of 14 with his family. This was when he met the love of his life, Marlene, and married her 5 years later at the age of 19. Their life together was filled with many adventures as well as many children, grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. Dan was a jack-of-all-trades known for his kind, helping nature and his ability to fix almost anything. If Dan couldn’t fix it, it wasn’t broken! His days in retirement were filled with fixing anything from boat motors to quads, building kitchen tables to kitchen cabinets, and basically being there to problem-solve and lend a helping hand. In the last few years, he found great joy up at Bolean Lake where he spent time in the outdoors, meeting and helping others, and being the go-to guy.
Dan will be missed by all that knew him, especially his cherished family. He is survived by his wife Marlene; children Dalene (Joe), Renee (Tyson), Salena (Tate), & Les (Val); his 16 grandchildren; great-granddaughter; and his brother Richie Henzie.
The family would like to thank all of those that extended their help and support during this difficult time, we truly appreciate and love you all.
Dan, we love you and will miss you forever.
We will be having a celebration of Dan’s life in the spring or early summer.

Thinking of the Henzie family and so sad for your loss. Dan will be missed. He was our staple at Bolean Lake. We will always remember him driving around on his quad fixing anything and everything! When he wasn’t busy working away it was great to see him head out fishing on the lake.
