Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the age of 95. He is remembered by his sons Phil of Kelowna and Stephen (Linda) of Spruce Grove, AB, and grandson Travis. Rev. Hiebert was predeceased by his wife Muriel in 2003. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna. A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 10:00 am at Pleasant Valley Cemetery, 4311 Pleasant Valley Rd., Vernon, followed by a Memorial Service at Mission Creek Alliance Church, 2091 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC at 2:00 pm with Reverend Tom Koop officiating. Memorial donations in Rev. Hiebert’s memory may be made to the Gideons, c/o 593 Spruceview Place South, Kelowna, BC, V1V 1S8. We had the privilege of knowing Henry during our time at the Chateau. He was a true gentleman and a gentle soul and we enjoyed his presence.

My heart goes out to you at this sad time. Your Dad was a great influence on my late wife Diane and I when we were young. He married us and gave us guidance. I have a warm place in my heart for his gentle soul.
