We Remember
HILLER, Werner (AKA “Long Legs”)
January 4, 1944 — August 26, 2021
Werner Hiller passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on August 26, 2021, at the age of 77. He has gone to join the ones he loved and those that loved him.
Werner was born in Poland on January 4, 1944, and eventually took the long boat trip to Canada, after which he mainly lived in Alberta with family located around British Columbia and in Kelowna, BC
Werner, AKA “Long Legs”, had many serving jobs throughout his life and was a character with a wild side, as well as a very caring side. He went through many tough times, but he always fought in his own way. He was a master of the yard and will be remembered for his very, VERY, green thumb!
Werner goes to join his mother, Pauline; father, Edward; and sister, Erika, who predeceased him.
Thank you to the staff at Springfield Funeral Home, who have been so gracious and kind throughout this difficult journey, as well as through previous family experiences.
In the future the family will create a Patio Memorial in Werner’s memory for loved ones to view in their own time.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, a cause that is very meaningful to Werner’s family.
