My condolences go out to my Uncle Rick, Aunty Pam, Amanda, and the entire rest of Matt’s family. A sudden loss like this is painful for all of us and Matt will be truly missed. I have many fond memories growing up with Matt: birthday party celebrations, trips to Whistler, skiing at Big White, late night movies and popcorn, family camping trips and floating down the kettle river, water skiing and lake swimming in the summers, late night car rides and campfires. Matt to me was like the big brother I never had. I idolized him and looked up to him in so many ways growing up. He too took care of me like a sister and made me appreciate the simple things in life. Matt was intelligent, compassionate, quiet, caring, funny, extremely hard-working, and always 100% dedicated to whatever he had his mind set on. I know he loved his family and friends very much and he too was loved very much by all of us. He will be greatly missed, but his smile and good-kindred spirit will live on amongst us.
