We Remember

HOLOWATY, Donald Michael

September 12, 1947 — November 15, 2020

It is with deep regrets that we announce the passing of Don Holowaty on November 15, 2020 in the Kelowna General Hospital.

Don is survived by his partner Ronnie Saxby; sister Merle (Ron) Hicks; twin brother Ray and brother Dale (Joanne); nieces and nephews Mark Holowaty, Heather (Sean) Noe, Steven (Morgan), Sarah (Spencer) and Michael Holowaty. Don was predeceased by his parents Metro and Meroslawa Holowaty.

Don was born in 1947 in Foam Lake, SK. Don was raised on our farm. In 1960 our family moved to Foam Lake. After Don’s high school graduation, he continued his education in Regina and in Saskatoon. Don earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and later his Certified Management Accounting Certificate.

Don’s employment took him to many Saskatchewan towns, including Unity, Lanigan, Swift Current, and Saskatoon. Don’s last employment prior to his retirement was in Swift Current as a PST auditor for the province of Saskatchewan. Various interests included playing musical instruments, singing, and going to live concerts and live theatre; most sports on TV were enjoyed.

Don and Ronnie’s home was always open to family and their many friends.

Don wished to be cremated. His final resting place will be in Foam Lake with his parents. If you are considering a memorial donation, please include the SPCA on your list.
