Ann Hortensius, 88, peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2021. She leaves her family to mourn her absence: her husband of 64 years, Dirk; their children Peter (Gloria) & Joanne (Kerry); grandchildren Dirk & Peter Ben; as well as her siblings Frits & Annie; and many more extended family members.
The family would like to express their gratitude for Carryanne during this difficult time.
As an expression of sympathy, flowers may be sent. Memorial donations may be sent to World Vision Canada, donate.worldvision.ca/collections/donations
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1:00 pm (PST), at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC, with Reverend Ivy Thomas officiating. A reception will follow. Unvaccinated friends and family are welcome to attend, masks will be mandatory. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream (see below), a recording will be made available to view shortly thereafter.

We are saddened to hear of Ann’s passing. Although she has physically departed, we cherish the memories of her sharing many meals, outings, laughter, and family stories with us over more than a decade . It was our pleasure to have known Ann, a quiet, gentle friend who will remain in our hearts., May beautiful family memories give you strength during this time of sorrow and loss.

I wanted to thank you for allowing me to be a part of your family for so long. The world is a better place because Ann was in it. She could brighten any room on the darkest day. She blessed me with so many memories. Her heart was pure and to know her meant you were lucky. She was so precious and raised an amazing family. She will never be forgotten ♥
