We Remember

HUI, Wing Kai

July 19, 1953 — April 19, 2021

On April 19, 2021, our community lost a warrior who fought a great battle with respiratory failure and pneumonia. Wing Kai Hui was born on July 19, 1953 and passed comfortably and peacefully Monday evening with his family by his side, holding his hand until his final moments. Wing was always a fighter and never gave up hope. He always defied the odds and overcame any challenges that were brought upon him. Sadly, Monday evening, Wing’s fight was no more. He had let go with dignity and assurance after saying goodbye to his family. Wing leaves behind his children, brothers, sisters, father, and many other friends, family, and loved ones. He will be greatly, greatly missed.

Wing was a very handsome and funny man growing up. He was always the wild one of all the kids in the family. He loved to cook, he loved kids, but he especially loved cars! He loved buying and selling different import cars and his most beloved possession was a Porsche. Wing also loved eating; he had a great appetite for such a small stature. His favorite types of foods were Chinese, Vietnamese, and Italian cuisines.

Wing was always known to be kind and gentle no matter where he went or who he met. He left a meaningful impression on everyone that had a chance to be in his life. From his family at home, to the staff at Mission Creek Landing, to the staff at KGH, and to everyone that has been there for him, thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.

We love you so much Wing, and we will miss you dearly.
