HUMPHREYS, Bryan Shane Simons

May 2, 1988 — August 16, 2023

The time has come to remember, celebrate, and share the life of Bryan Shane Simons Humphreys, who passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the young age of 35.

Bryan was born in Bournemouth, England, where he lived with his family for a few years. His mother, Elizabeth, brought him and his sister Kimberly to Alberta for a new beginning, around the time when Bryan was just 4 years old. While Alberta presented a new start for Bryan and his family, eventually, they were led out of the province to the small town of Peachland, British Columbia, where he and his sister grew up and called their home. Bryan had a vibrant and humorous personality; he loved being around people and making them laugh. He was known for his contagious laughter, that he shared with everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. Bryan enjoyed travelling, relaxing on beaches, working out, and meeting new people who liked to have a good time. After taking some time to travel to places such as Europe and Brazil, Bryan ended up calling Kelowna, British Columbia his home, and that is where his final resting place was.

Bryan’s pride and joy were his two beautiful children, Damien and Camille. Family was very important to Bryan, as working on re-connecting with family was a priority of his. He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth (James); father Kim (Cindy); sister Kimberly Howard; brother-in-law Tim Howard; as well as niece Kiana, and nephew Kai.

We hope you are finally at peace, Bryan.

In honour of Bryan, a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 2:00 PM, at Penticton Lakeside Resort, 21 Lakeshore Dr W, Penticton, BC V2A 7M5.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Mental Health & Substance Use Services.
