HUMPHRIES, Gerald

—

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the age of 76.  He is survived by his loving wife Elaine of 39 years, his extended family and many friends.  Gerald came to Kelowna in the 1960’s and married Elaine in 1974.  He loved driving stock cars, playing cards and enjoyed many road trips, especially the ones that were “spur of the moment.”  Special thanks to the caring staff at Hospice House.

When I think of all the happiness

That you and I have shared

And all the things you’ve said and done

To show how much you cared

I can’t help feeling lucky

And as proud as I can be

That the whole world’s finest

Husband and father

Is the man who married me.

    My heart felt condolence to my cousin Elaine. Gerald was a beautiful person inside and out. He was always able to make me smile. I’ll always remember his hugs and husky laugh. My prayers are with you during this time.

    We would like to convey our deepest condolences to you Elaine. Gerald was a wonderful man and he will be missed. Bill is so glad he was able to stop in for a visit a few years back and reminisce about the good old days. Stay strong Elaine and cherish the memories. all our love…Bill & Donna
