We Remember

JACKSON, Jimbob “Jay”

April 18, 1974 — November 30, 2024

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jay Jackson, of Kelowna, BC, on November 30th, 2024, at the age of 50. Jay passed away unexpectedly, due to underlying medical issues.

He was born in Whitehorse, Yukon, to Bob Jackson and Patsy Cooke. He lived most of his life in Kelowna, B.C., where he married Catherine Jackson and had his two daughters, Kareth and Valerie. Jay started and owned his own business for 20+ years, Kettle Valley Rock Construction. He was extremely creative and loved what he did.

He will be lovingly remembered by his parents, Bob and Patsy; ex-wife, Catherine; daughters Kareth and Valerie; nephew, Calvin; brothers, Terry and Luke; and many other family members. He will also be dearly missed by his friends at Kelowna Sand and Gravel and many more around the community.

Jay loved being outdoors, he felt at peace with nature and saw the world in a different way when surrounded by wildlife. He loved dirt biking, quadding, and always having fun with the people he loved. If there was one word to describe Jay, it would be generous, he would have given the shirt off his back for the people he loved. Jay always lit up a room with his comedic relief and always had the room laughing. There was nothing he loved more than to make people laugh and cook them amazing food. Jay was a phenomenal cook and loved to share that with his loved ones. He often said that his daughters were his greatest joys in life, and that they changed the way he looked at the world.

He was a man of faith, a guardian angel down on earth and now in the sky.

There will be a service in the new year, the time and date are to be determined. Please stay in touch with the family for further details.
