We Remember

JENNINGS, Francesco “Frankie”

August 31, 1983 — August 6, 2024

“Frankie” Francesco Jennings left us heartbroken on August 6, 2024, when he succumbed to cancer. He leaves behind his loving mother Diana Jennings; his son Francesco Tolson Jennings-Waters; the love of his life, Amy Holms, and her daughter Jade; and granddaughter Kendall; and his old girl Raya.

Frankie loved life in good and hard times. Rain or shine, he was smiling and no matter where he went, he always made friends. As an only child, he cherished having people around him where he could make them laugh. He was much more than the eyes met. Sheet Metalist by trade, he loved to design and build “things”. He met his challenges straight on and always tried to make the best of the situation. In the last few years, he faced adversity and hardship. He owned his mistakes and looked forward to the day he could make everything right again. Unfortunately, we ran out of time. He was loved unconditionally and will forever be missed by his many friends in Penticton, BC and Kelowna, BC. He will also be missed by aunts, uncles, and cousins. Frankie was predeceased by his grandad Doug Jennings; by his Nana, Madeline Gravelle who passed away the day before Frankie, to lead him home; his Uncle Clay, and his best friend Kenny Lowler.

Frankie’s final wish was for people to look beyond themselves. To see the homeless, the drug afflicted, mentally challenged, as human beings. The kindest, most generous people he met were struggling with these issues. Be kind and try not to judge, but be grateful you are in a better position.

Thank you to Penticton Regional Hospital, Urban Outreach Medical in Kelowna, outreach workers, and volunteers. A huge thank-you to Dr. Amigo of Kelowna General Hospital.

Family and friends will honour him, each in their own way. No formal service will be held. If desired, donations may be made to The Bridge Youth & Family Services or a charity of your choice.
