We Remember

JENSEN, Jeffrey Ross

May 1, 1985 — February 19, 2024

It is with shattered hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son, Jeffrey Ross Jensen.

Jeff leaves behind a large family who will miss him dearly. His is survived by his beloved children, Mackenzie and Jack Jensen, and their mom, Alison Jensen of Kelowna, BC; his parents, Jack & Nancy Jensen of Kelowna, BC; siblings, Rory Jensen (Charmaine) of West Kelowna, BC, Michael Dashney (Laurie) of Sherwood Park, AB, Lindsey Jensen of Kelowna, BC, and Morgan Weishaar (Rocky) of Purple Springs, AB; nieces, Ariah Weishaar and Isla Weishaar, of Purple Springs, AB; nephews, Liam Weishaar of Purple Springs, AB, Beckett and Dax Jensen of West Kelowna, BC, and Declan Dashney of Sherwood Park, AB.

He is also remembered by his father-in-law, Jim Clancy (Lynn) of Kelowna, BC and mother-in-law, Donna (Keith) Jansons of Kelowna, BC; sisters-in-law, Amanda Clancy (Ryan) of Edmonton, AB, Kathleen Clancy (Kyle) of Edmonton, AB, Trina Rodrigo of Kelowna, BC, and Meghan Walz (Matt) of Kelowna, BC; and his brothers-in-law, Evan Clancy (Alexis) of Kelowna, BC and Kolton Jansons (Amanda) of Kelowna, BC.

Jeff will be held in the hearts of his grandparents, Alex Campbell of Kelowna, BC and Joy Allan of Kelowna, BC; his aunts, Wendy Allan (Tony) of Cambridge, ON, Kathleen Lewis (Mark) of Prince George, BC, Brenda Harris, of Taber, AB, Laura Martin (Bryce) of Taber, AB, Bernadette Ludwig (Darrell) of Brooks, AB, Judy Hazell (Lorne) of Foremost, AB, and Carolyn Lind (Jeff) of Portland, OR, USA; his Uncle Ross Jensen of Medicine Hat, AB. And, he will be remembered by his first cousins, Chris Campbell (Candace), Curtis Campbell (Sarah), Darcy Boyer (John), Alison Werk ( Raphael), George Allan, Steven Mayo, Kristin Mayo (Stefan), Aundrea Campbell (Brad), Broadie Murphy, Brad Martin (Deanna), Jennifer Archer, Wade Frederick, Christopher Hazell (Angela), Trevor Hazell, Scott Hazell (Kelsey), Desirae Eremenko and all of their children; and numerous other extended family members.

Sadly, Jeff was predeceased by his grandparents, Ross and Edna Jensen of Purple Springs, AB, Bill Allan of Kelowna, BC, and Patricia Campbell of Kelowna, BC; as well as his Uncle Marold Jensen of Purple, Springs, AB and uncle Russell Jensen of Taber, AB; cousins, Cassidy Jensen of Purple Springs, AB, Jason Frederick of Lethbridge, AB, and Jeremy Emmelcamp of Coaldale, AB.

Jeff was born in Edmonton, AB and moved to Kelowna, BC in 1988. He grew up in the Okanagan Mission and attended preschool, elementary and high school with the same kids that became his lifelong friends. Jeff excelled as a student and won many awards for his skills. He graduated with honours from Okanagan Mission Secondary in 2003. Jeff attended the University of BC for one year before deciding to pursue his love of woodworking. He held a Red Seal Journeyman Cabinet and Joinery certification and worked alongside his Dad in the family business, designing, building and installing beautiful, intricate stair and railings for many homes throughout the Okanagan and Edmonton, AB. Eventually, Jeff ventured out on his own, starting a successful stair and railing company of his own.

Jeff was passionate about the outdoors and was a skilled hunter and fisherman. He spent many weekends in the mountains hunting or on the water fishing.

He skied, played recreational hockey and baseball, and loved the Edmonton Oilers and San Francisco 49ers.

Jeff loved his entire family and was especially proud of his beautiful children, Jack and Mackenzie. He was a gift to our family, and his time on earth will be cherished by all those that loved him. His memory lives on in our hearts.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 11:00 AM, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints: 696 Glenmore Rd, Kelowna, BC.
