We Remember
JERCZYNSKI, Keith
—
It is with a very heavy heart we share the news that Keith passed away peacefully after a brave 16-month battle with cancer, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 5:15 am, lovingly surrounded by his wife and son . . . . holding him so tight, and loving him so hard, until his last breath! Colleen was honoured to share those last moments with her cowboy and was so proud of him for his strength and courage and for him leaving this crazy world in ‘Keith style’ and with his boots on!
Keith is survived by his loving wife Colleen, son Shae, and step-sons Kaelen (Taylor) and Brett. He also leaves behind to grieve his parents Joe and Sheila Jerczynski, sister Kirsten, and nephew Jaxon, along with an extensive family and many amazing friends.
Keith was born on May 21, 1978, in North Vancouver. He grew up on the North Shore, making many lifelong friends throughout school, years of soccer, and various construction jobs.
Keith moved to Kelowna in 2005, not long after meeting Colleen, the groovy woman of his dreams. He effortlessly took on the challenge of helping to raise her two young boys, Kaelen and Brett, while building their lives together. Keith fit in seamlessly with Colleen’s family, her parents Gord and Pat, sister Den’a (Carney), and brother Guy (Wendy), and they were quick to welcome him into the Basaraba family.
Keith continued to hone his construction and management skills and created his own company, Sawyer Construction & Renovations Ltd in 2007. He proudly, and with a smile on his beautiful face each and every day, served Kelowna and the surrounding area for the last 16 years, with his good buddy Tyler by his side.
On January 28, 2010, Keith and Colleen welcomed Shae into the world. Keith adored his son and was an avid supporter of all of Shae’s activities. He was so incredibly proud of all of Shae’s accomplishments, and the man he is growing up to be.
For all of those who knew Keith, our lives will never be the same, but our memories of him will live in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, please raise a glass to Keith, share your memories, live, love, and laugh every day, and remember to sprinkle groovy vibes along the way!
