We Remember

John Olson

John Michael Olson, 62, peacefully passed away on September 8, 2015, surrounded by his loving family in Toronto, Ontario. Born on December 4, 1952, John embarked on a fulfilling career, dedicating 30 years to Kodak Canada as a skilled film processor in the dark rooms. His culinary finesse and generous spirit were legendary, crafting extravagant holiday feasts and beloved dishes like Trifle, mac & cheese, Roast Beef, Roast Pork, and milkshakes.

A devoted Toronto Blue Jays and Toronto Leafs enthusiast, John shared his passion for sports with infectious enthusiasm. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community. However, his legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness and culinary creations.

John’s memory will forever inspire those who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Toronto Food Bank, honouring John’s dedication to both his craft and generosity. A celebration of his life took place on September 14, 2015, at St. Mary’s Church, Toronto, at 11 a.m. He will be dearly missed but fondly remembered.”
