We Remember
JOHNSON, Caroline “Carrie” (née Esau)
May 23, 1955 — June 14, 2026
Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised (Proverbs 31:30)
Born on May 23, 1955, Caroline Johnson (née Esau) went to be with the Lord, surrounded by family, on June 14, 2026.
Carrie was a gentle soul who loved deeply. Her family was the centre of her life, and she especially enjoyed the grandchildren and great-grands.
Carrie was blessed with family and friends whom she loved and cherished, and whose lives were impacted by her unique touch in their/your stories. She had a courageous spirit and adventurous soul that was always up for a fun escape, from a trip to the mall to a getaway across the ocean. Carrie was faithful, responsible, and very brave throughout her journey. Her enduring determination, spunky outlook, and devout faith supported and sustained her through some difficult times. She had a quiet kindness that will live on in the precious memories of our hearts and minds.
We will learn to live without her presence and the emptiness left in our hearts by remembering her beautiful smile (or sassy grin), her quick wit, and lively, crazy stories. You are safely home, Carrie, rest peacefully in the arms of Jesus and know you are so loved forever!
Survived by children Kim (Tyler) and Geoff (Stacy); grandchildren Jaymie, Emily, Noah and Presley; great-grandchildren Nixon and Linden; siblings Lorne and Judy; and many extended family members and friends.
Predeceased by her husband, Everet; her mom and dad; and her infant brother, Jonathan.
A service will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 3:00 pm, at Powers Creek Church (3718 Glenway Road, West Kelowna); a reception is to follow.
