We Remember

JOLICOEUR, Jeannine

April 28, 1937 — May 13, 2023

Jeannine Jolicoeur, 86, passed from this life on May 13, 2023. She is now reunited with her Lord and her loved ones who went before her.  Left here to remember her are her four children: Diane Jolicoeur, J.P. (Sharon) Jolicoeur, Jacqueline (Keith) Poss, and Colette (Peter) Martin. She will also be missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren: grandson Adam (Danielle) Poss and great-granddaughter Ivy; grandson Nicholas Poss; grandson Patrick (Lauren) and great-granddaughter Elodie; granddaughter Analise (Mirza) Zukanovic and great-grandchildren Elias & Grace; grandson Devin Martin; and grandson Brennan Martin.

She was a sweet, strong, and soft-hearted soul. She loved to have a good time and was a well-suited dance partner to the love of her life, Roger. Jeannine lived her life with integrity, honesty, generosity, goodness, and love. She served her family with thoughtfulness in every gesture throughout the years – always being there as a pillar of support. Her laughter, her love, her beautiful smile, and her grounding presence will be genuinely missed by all those who were so very blessed to be a part of her life.

She was born in St Agathe, MB on April 28, 1937, to Cyril and Madeleine Pelland. Along with her siblings, Camille Pelland, Rachel Gordon, Denise (Reid) McClelland, Gilbert (Jeanette) Pelland, Carol (Glenn) Weisbrot, Gisele (Ken) Charleton, she is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, her extended family, and dear friends. She was sadly predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Roger Jolicoeur; her parents, Madeleine and Cyril Pelland; her sisters, Carmel (Art) Degane, Claire Tencha, and Yvette Fifi; and her brother Roger Pelland.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

A Funeral Mass, with Father Wayne Pfliger presiding, will be held on MONDAY, MAY 29, 2023, at 10:00 AM, at OUR LADY OF LOURDES-CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2547 Hebert Rd, West Kelowna, BC.
