We Remember
JUKER, Elizabeth
April 5, 1952 — April 17, 2024
On April 17, 2024, Elizabeth Juker departed this world at the age of 72. Elizabeth was born on April 05, 1952, to the late Frederick & Mary Lazurko. She is survived by her siblings, Darlene (Al) Dzuba, Chris Lazurko (MaryAnn), and Christine Moger, and her many nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth’s journey began with a wanderlust that led her across borders and continents. From the winding streets of Germany to the diverse landscapes of Europe, she immersed herself in the diversity of cultures, gathering experiences that would shape her perspective for years to come.
A pivotal chapter unfolded when Elizabeth made her home in Europe for a year, delving into the intricacies of foreign lands and forging connections with individuals from all walks of life. This period of immersion undoubtedly left a mark on her understanding of the world. Transitioning to the serene backdrop of Banff, Alberta, Elizabeth found peace.
With precision and flair, she transformed locks of hair with a skill that belied her years of experience. Yet, it was in the embrace of nature’s beauty that Elizabeth discovered her true passion. A fervent lover of gardening, she cultivated lush greenery. As she embarked on the noble endeavour of nurturing life, Elizabeth’s heart overflowed with joy at the prospect of bringing nature’s bounty to the residents of the seniors’ home. With about 200 plants in tow, she embarked on a mission to create a sanctuary of tranquility and rejuvenation for those in need of solace and connection.
In keeping with Elizabeth’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. She will be honoured in the hearts of those who had the joy of knowing her.

Offering my condolences to Elizabeth’s family. I was shocked when I got a text from another Co Worker from Lake Country Manor. I had the privilege of working with Elizabeth for a decade. I was the Food Service Manager then. We became pretty good pals along the way. I have so many beautiful memories of Elizabeth She was kind to everyone she knew. We had a lot in common, especially all that involved food. Especially the Ukrainian dishes. Elizabeth had a real talent when it came to her gardening. My office had a big window overlooking one of the courtyards She would plant my favourite flowers outside that window for me to enjoy. She had an enormous heart. We also shared our birthdays every year. Mine on the 4th hers on the 5th. I texted her on her birthday, with no response. I thought that very out of character for her. Never would have I thought that our world lost an Angel. She was an amazing lady! She will be missed by all she knew. ❤️I hope she can still watch her Vikings. I will think of you every game!
