We Remember
KEALTY, Jenny
November 20, 1930 — April 15, 2014
Jenny, the second youngest of six children, was born in Edmonton and raised in the Vancouver area. She moved to Terrace in 1949 to work as a nurse at the Red Cross Outpost Hospital. Although she intended to stay only a year, she met and married her husband Dewey and they stayed in Terrace until moving to Kelowna in 2001. During her years in Terrace she raised her family and worked at the Hospital, Sears, Terrace Drugs, and the Terrace Medical Clinic. Her home was always filled with friends and laughter and she was known for her kindness, thoughtfulness and generosity. She loved baking, knitting and camping but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends. In 2007 she moved into assisted living where she made many new friends and enjoyed the social activities there. As her health issues persisted she remained strong with a positive outlook. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters Cathy, Bev, Vivian and their families. Predeceased by her husband and their infant son Kim. A Celebration of Life was held at the Village at Mill Creek in Kelowna. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

My condolences to Jenny’s family. I met Jenny shortly after her move to JBR in Kelowna. She always had a real spark and was a joy to work with over the years. We will all miss her visits here at SHHC.
Hi Bev
My heart goes out to you. Your Mom was such a terrific person, a lovely woman. Always cheerful in the face of a lot of physical pain. It was an honour to provide her with some comfort.

Very sad to hear of Jenny’s passing. Worked with Jenny at the Terrace Medical Clinic in the 1980s. She was indeed a kind, considerate, gracious person who loved her family.
