We Remember

KEUHL, Lynn

March 24, 1963 — July 25, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the loss of Lynn Keuhl, who passed away unexpectedly on July 25, 2025, at the age of 62.

Lynn leaves behind those she loved most, including her daughter Holly (Chris); granddaughters Rylee and Jordyn; mother Dianne; sisters Deb and Tracy (Lorne); aunts Sandra (Al) and Bev; and nieces Lindsay (Brad) and Meaghan (Dave), along with their children Ashtyn and Cooper, and Adrianna and Lila; as well as nephew Marlon (Kelsey) and their daughter Riviana.

She now goes to join her father Wayne, who passed before her in March 2025.

Lynn was born in Nanaimo, BC, one of three siblings, and had a natural energy and determination from a young age. She was a talented athlete, especially in sprinting, where she held multiple school district records, and also played volleyball. She was involved in Drama Club and brought the same spirit to the stage that she did to sports. In later years, she developed a love for golf.

She spent over 40 years working as an optician, and was respected for her skill and the way she connected with people. Known for her quick wit, big laugh, and the way she could instantly put others at ease, Lynn had a warm presence and a great sense of humour that brought joy to those around her. She was a simple woman who worked hard and never asked for much. She didn’t need anything fancy; what mattered most to her was time with her family and friends.

Lynn shared a close and lasting bond with her daughter, Holly. As a single mother, she and Holly did nearly everything together, from workdays at the office to quiet family traditions like decorating the Christmas tree each year. When Holly and her husband Chris moved to a farm, Lynn was a regular visitor, happy to lend a hand in the garden or help out wherever she could. She adored her granddaughters and found real happiness in spending time with them, especially watching them ride horses or gently brushing the animals herself. Lynn was loving, thoughtful, and quietly strong.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend, and she will be deeply missed.

Family and friend will each honour Lynn in their own ways. No formal service will be held.
