We Remember
KING, Ruby Eileen
July 9, 1937 — November 28, 2015
With deep sadness we announce the passing of Ruby King. Beloved wife of Nelson, mother of Brenda (John) and Angie, nana to Jessica, Joshua, Hannah, Kelsey and Mia. Ruby had a long career in nursing and her loving, caring nature will be truly missed. She loved spending time with family, baking and volunteering in the church. Ruby had a large extended family and leaves behind many relatives and friends who will mourn her. We were all so very lucky to have had her in our lives. She will be sorely missed. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. For those wishing to send a condolence, photos or share memories, may do so by scrolling down this page to the area called “Share Your Condolences.”

It is with heavy hearts we write to say we were very saddened to learn of Ruby’s passing. She was always considered to be a part of our family and we all thought fondly of her. It was only Saturday morning I was telling my friends about her and how Mom called me after my sister’s best friend “Ruby” as she was with Mom when I was born and had lived with us til graduation. I guess her spirit was with me even though I hadn’t yet learned of her passing. On special occasions Mom always looked forward to receiving her card from Ruby and was proud to be known as her “second” Mom. She always said “Ruby never forgets me” and always sends a card to “Mother”. It would make Mom’s day whatever the occasion. And I know Mom and Dad thoroughly enjoyed being able to spend time with both of you many years ago and so did I when I visited during Expo. Like our memories will be to us, I hope your many wonderful memories will be a comfort to you at this very difficult time. With love from Newfoundland, Lloyd, Ruby, Nicholas and Mother
