We Remember

KING, Susan Lilian

The family of Susan Lilian King are deeply saddened to announce her passing on May 25, 2013 after her courageous battle with cancer.

Susan graduated as a nurse from Sick Children’s Hospital in Toronto in 1955.

She was a classical pianist, reached the level of 3b in Healing Touch, was a member of the Sisters of St. John the Divine, as well as, a clergy warden and a very active member of the church choir. She loved all animals, especially her dog, and enjoyed horse riding.

Susan was a very loving mother, wife and friend, and we were all inspired by her determination to live her life to the fullest with a smile and never a complaint.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, 2710 East KLO Road, Kelowna, BC with a reception to follow at Coast Capri Hotel. I wish to give my condolences to Dave and members of Susan’s family. Her passing calls to mind a beautiful Mananitas early one fine morning on her birthday when members of the Cursillo community awoke her with flowers, song and laughter. “How lovely is the morning when God comes to waken you.” I will always remember Sue’s broad smile and the love behind it. May you still dance with angels who have never far from you.
    Sincerely,
    Fr Jack
