We Remember
KINOSHITA, Ethel
—
Ethel Kinoshita, age 95, passed away peacefully at Brookhaven Care Centre on July 7, 2023.
A wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, Ethel was loved by all who knew her. Although we grieve her loss, we are comforted knowing Mom has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, whom she loved and served all these years. We also know that, at last, she is reunited with her husband, Hiko. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Faith; son Kenji (Sharon); granddaughter Miyoshi (Ryan) and great-grandchildren Arabella and Kannon; grandson Kenji (Clare) and great-grandchildren Autumn and Aiden; sister Emma; in-laws Ken and Ets, and Sumi; plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Hiko; an infant daughter; and her brother, Joe.
We extend a special thank you to the entire staff of Brookhaven for their loving care of our mom for the past 3 1/2 years. Mom was happy there, and you became her extended family. Your compassion and support is greatly appreciated.
In lieu of flowers and koden, please make a donation to a charity of choice. A private family service will be held.
If you wish to send a condolence, post photos, or share a memory, please scroll down the page to the area called “Condolences”.
Our sympathy goes out to all the Kinoshita family for the loss of dear Ethel.
She was such a beautiful soul, so kind, gentle, sweet, caring , thoughtful and humble. I’m so glad that she was able to come to the lunch at our vacation spot in Kelowna a few years ago, and to enjoy her pleasant company. She will be missed, but just knowing she is now with her Lord will be your comfort. May the Lord bless you with many fond memories of her.
Love,
Roy & Machiko Budai
My sympathies to all the Kinoshita families (and extended families.)
I have fond memories of Ethel’s gentle presence and kindness, attending summer birthday parties in the backyard . Wishing you peace and comfort.
Thank you Letitia for your kind words. Mom has left us with great memories.
My heart goes out to Ethel’s family. I did not know them only meeting Faith when she would visit her mother at Brookhaven. I miss Ethel and all her “help” she would do with me in the evenings cleaning. I’ll always remember her bright eyes, the nod of her head and of course, her mischievous smile. Hugs to all 💗
Marlene

Mrs K always made me feel welcome at her home. A fine person who touched lots of people particularly in the Rutland community! My love to all the family!
