We Remember

KIRSCHKE, Shirley Sarah

September 24, 1935 — June 21, 2026

The remarkable Shirley Kirschke passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hans, with whom she shared 44 years of marriage before he passed.

Shirley was born in Montreal, QC, on September 24, 1935, and fairly soon after her family settled in Winnipeg, MB. Always glamorous and well put together; her nails and hair were always done before leaving her home! She was well-loved by many in Kelowna, BC and Winnipeg. And, was often called “Gramma Shirley” by those who adopted her into their family.

Friends and neighbours are welcome to come to the service to hear more about this amazing woman.

Memorial donations in memory of Shirley may be sent to Heart and Stroke Foundation.

A Funeral Service, with Reverend Keith Reisdorf officiating, will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM (PDT), at The Sanctuary Lutheran Church, 4091 Lakeshore Road, Kelowna, BC.
