We Remember
KLASSEN, Bernice Patricia (née Familinow)
July 3, 1938 — February 16, 2021
Bernice Klassen, 82, returned to her heavenly home on February 16, 2021, after a long and valiant battle with cancer.
Her firm belief in God and the love from her family gave her strength in the hardest of days. Bernice was born to the late Peter and Norma Familinow, in Kelowna, BC, on July 3, 1938. Bernice was blessed with a large and loving family – she often quoted Psalm 127:5, “Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of [children].” Bernice is survived by five of her children: Dennis (Edina) Klassen, Jim (Rachel) Klassen, Doug (Brenda) Klassen, Roberta (Gerry) Deleurme, and Liana (Burke) Sanbrooks; 19 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and her sister, Tudy (Cal) Fortnum.
The family would like to express their gratitude towards the staff at Kelowna Hospice House and the staff at Springfield Funeral Home for their compassion and care during this difficult time.
A Funeral Service will be held to honour Bernice, due to the current pandemic restrictions it will be by invitation only. The family gratefully declines flowers and donations, but prayers, condolences, and memories are gladly accepted.

I knew Bernice via Raptureforums.com. She was a dear friend. I look forward to seeing her in heaven.
To The Family and Friends Of Bernice Klassen, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Bernice. I first knew her on a forum Rapture Ready, and then Rapture Forum. We had great fellowship on there posting our dinners, and she mentioned her family many times and her Special dog friend Patsy. She was so loved and will be greatly missed by so many who knew her. My prayers for her family and friends are of love, peace, comfort, and strength. It is so wonderful to know this life is only temporal, but we will see our family and friends again in our heavenly home for eternity. God Bless all of you! Janice
Cousin Bernice is resting now, we will see her again soon. Love to Tudy and my cousins.
Bernice was the first person I called to say I am moving back to Kelowna this July. I miss my old friend. Condolences to her family.
I was Bernice’s neighbour in Holiday Park & we kept in touch after I moved to Kelowna & then Calgary. I called her a week ago to say I am moving back to Kelowna & will stop in & see her as I pass Holiday Park.. She will always be in my heart as my best neighbour ever. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Bernice was my next door neighbour at 88 Shades RV park for many years. She was the big sister I never had.. I called her to say I was moving back from Calgary July 2nd & would let her know when I could get away from unpacking for a tea & a hug. She was like my big sister & I will miss her always.
