KLEMPNER, Elizabeth
January 20, 1938 — February 18, 2017
Elizabeth Klempner went ‘Home rejoicing to her Lord in Heaven’ on Sat. Feb. 18, 2017 at the age of 79. She was born on Jan. 20, 1938 in Lauck, East Prussia and was the 7th of 11 siblings. The family fled from their family farm in Jan. 1945 during the II World War to Bosse, in Middle Germany. In Dec. 1951, the family immigrated to Langley, BC in Canada and later purchased a mixed dairy farm in Rosedale, BC. Elizabeth graduated high school in Chilliwack, BC in 1957. She then moved to her sister Hanna in Calgary, AB in 1959 and took an LPN nursing aid course and later worked in the Holy Cross Hospital nursery. Senold Klempner and Elizabeth got married on May 13, 1961. They had three children: Martin, Heidi, and Rosalyn. In 1973 the family moved to Chilliwack, BC and the following year to Kelowna, BC. Elizabeth was predeceased by her dear husband Senold in 2009 and grandsons Mathew in 1998 and Daniel in 2000. Also, predeceased by her parents Willy and Helene Froese, and siblings Friedhelm at infancy, Reinhard, Johannes, Karin, and Willi. She is survived by her children and grandchildren Benjamin, and Michael. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Banwell, Dr. Allen and the wonderful care Elizabeth received from the staff at the Kelowna Hospital and the Kelowna Hospice House. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 23rd at 1:00 pm at the Church of God, 3705 Mission Springs Drive, Kelowna, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.

Harold and I are so sorry for the loss of your mother, Elizabeth. We are thinking of you all and wish we could be there on the 24th. We will be thinking of you and know your mother’s service will be hard, but beautiful. She was blessed with you as children and you were blessed with a loving, faithful mother. Martin, Heidi, and Rosie,
Though we know your mom is in heaven, where she was eagerly looking forward to going, it’s hard for those left behind. You will miss her presence and the person that she was.
I, Sandy, have fond memories of your family in the early ’70s and your dad’s cool car – lol.

It’s been 3 years now since your Mom has passed away. I remember your Mom as a praying Mom for her children and other people which she had on her prayer list. I also remember her sweet smile. I know her blessings go with you day by day as you walk with Jesus.
