KOEPKE, Wayne

Born on November 13, 1941 in Lethbridge, Alberta and passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011 at the age of 69.  Survived by his loving wife Frances; daughter Beverly (Will); son Darrell; four grandchildren: Kyle, Ryan, Courtney, Cassidy; brother Lloyd (Wilda) and sister Elaine (Jim).  Predeceased by Harold and Mabel Koepke.  Wayne will be remembered for his smile and laughter, which could be heard a mile away.  He loved to spend time at Mabel Lake fishing, golfing and spending time with friends.  Wayne had a very rewarding career in woodworking, while being employed with Stober Construction for 23 years.  He loved to spend time with his family and will be dearly missed.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 11th at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association – Hospice House, 2035 Ethel Street, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 2Z6 or the Cancer Centre for the Southern Interior, 399 Royal Avenue, Kelowna, BC, V1Y 5L3.  Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com, 250-860-7077.
