KOFOED, Jeremy
December 8, 1977 — March 27, 2024
It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Jeremy Anton Kofoed, whose life was tragically taken from him on March 27, 2024, at the age of 46. He was born on December 8, 1977, and lived his whole life in Kelowna. His growing-up years included lots of travelling, adventuring, and good times with his family. He carried that on in his own way, patiently teaching his own kids to ride dirt bikes, how to waterski, and ride a sled in the winter. Jeremy was a toy guy and showed his kids how to play and have fun.
After high school, Jeremy went on to become a skilled Red Seal auto technician and worked at Kelowna Toyota for 25 years. He excelled in customizing and accessorizing the Toyota truck line and many of the lifted trucks around Kelowna are a product of his work!
For the last 7 years, Jeremy has poured his heart into building and operating Adventure Trucks. He loved taking his family to the Overland Expos in the States to pick up new pieces, and he loved having the opportunity to share his passion with others.
Jeremy loved going on adventures, road trips, camping with his family, off-roading with his kids, waterskiing, and walking his dog by the lake. He helped so many people in so many different ways – pulling cars out of the ditch, helping family and friends move, working on projects with others, digging with his excavator, advising us with our car problems, just to name a few. We will always remember Jeremy for his huge heart, gentleness, generosity, and fun-loving nature.
Jeremy will be forever loved and remembered by his three children, Kylee, Mathias, and Caleb, and the mother of his children and wife of 23 years, Sherri. He is deeply loved and missed by his fiancé and partner of 2 years, Liyah, and her son Rocco. Left to cherish his memory are his father Jack and sisters Jacqueline (John Nybo), Jillian (Andi) Buechi, and Leah (Troy) Jones. Also left to mourn his passing are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. Jeremy was predeceased by his loving mother, Leona.

A Memorial Service will take place on TUESDAY, April 23, 2024, at 2:00 PM (PDT), at Trinity Church: 1905 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Tea will be served afterward. Family and friends are invited to come and pay their respects and honour Jer’s memory. If you are unable to attend in person, please join the family online by Livestream at the time of the service (see below).
Jeremy’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to live on. May his memory be a blessing, and may we find solace in the cherished moments we shared with him.

My memories go back almost 30 years. Jeremy was such a great friend, and Jack and Leona’s home was always open to me. In particular, I remember our version of the “hot rod race” one Wednesday night from Kelowna to Vernon. I always looked forward to seeing Jer again someday and get my facts straight… My deepest, heartfelt condolences to all the family.
