We Remember
KOPYTSCHAK, Peter
—
It is with Heavy Hearts that on August 28, 2019 at the age of 67 years, we said Good-Bye to an Amazing Man. Peter was always there for us with open arms
The spark in your eyes whenever greeting visitors will be with us forever. Your laughter while in the kitchen doing what you loved, put a smile on everyone’s face. Our many talks over the years will be fondly remembered. We will miss your Delicious Homemade Biscotti that you made with such love and care. The Burden of life became too much for you and we accept your choice to leave this world. We will forever be grateful for your time here with us. Although you are no longer with us in physical form, your soul continues to exist along with the many memories that you have created for us. You will be with us forever. Rest in Peace big brother and amazing uncle.

I am grateful to have known Peter as a friend for over 25 years here in Kelowna. Peter always had time for a conversation,
loved to be on the cooking end of an amazing dinner and genuinely cared about his friends. Peter went to university, was an Olympic potential athlete, an entrepreneur, a political observer, a storyteller and a keen and willing debater to talk about local and world affairs. It was a pleasure to be his friend. It was not easy to let Peter go but this was his journey and he lived it on his own terms. You will be missed my friend.

I will miss Peter in my life. He loved to cook and to talk about food. He was such a generous person with his time, his stories and his cooking. He was a proud man and could never accept a gift without reciprocating. He loved a good laugh but life just wore him down.
I enjoyed my my visits with Peter over the years. The amazing thing was to just call and say I was coming up to Kelowna on my bike and he would reply “see you when you get here”. He would greet me with a big hug, loud laugh and then say ” are you hungry”. Even if my visits were short they seemed so full. Peter enjoyed having you stop by anytime. Life just seemed to be such a burden for him. I know that he appreciated all of the visits. R.I.P. Peter, may you find the Peace you so much deserved.
It’s been almost 4 months since you left us Peter. I still cannot believe you are no longer with us. I miss our telephone calls and surprise visits so much. I miss your opinion on all topics lol. And of course I miss your big strong hugs. May you find the Peace you so much Deserved. Big Hug to you my Big Brother. 😍
