KOROLL, Irene Vera Jean (Armbruster)

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the age of 83. Survived by her loving husband, Harry, of 64 years; two daughters: Lynda Robertson (Jim) of West Kelowna, Terralee Enz (Steve) of Sooke, BC; son Blake Koroll (Martina) of Okotoks, AB; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one brother Fred Armbruster (Sylvia) of Cold Lake, AB; one sister Barbara Poier of Yorkton, SK and nieces and nephews. Irene and Harry farmed in Saltcoats, Saskatchewan and later moved to Dawson Creek, BC, where they lived for 15 years. They then moved to Kamloops and lived there for 22 years and retired to Kelowna in 1994. Irene loved gardening, cooking, fishing and working along side her husband. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd at 1:00 pm at Springfield Funeral Home, 2020 Springfield Road, Kelowna, BC. Interment to follow in the Kelowna Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Unit #4 at Springvalley Care Home, 355 Terai Court, Kelowna, BC, V1X 5X6. This journey has ended for you and I’m so sorry for the loss of your Mother. She was a blessed Mom to have such a devoted daughter. You look so much like her. I know how many hours you spent with her these last few years, day after day. I send you and the family big hugs and the most sincere sympathy. Be kind to yourself and take some Lynda time. I am here for you, just as you have always been here for me.

Harry, LInda, Terralee and Blake; I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your loving mother and wife. We were lucky to have such good friends in Dawson Creek. I remember many trips to “One Island Lake” that your Mom generously shared with us and homemade bread and perogies! What a special lady!
