Our family would like to send our condolences on the passing of your mother and wife. Please know that the community at Thornhill Baptist will hold you up in prayers during this sad time. May our Father encompass you with peace and comfort.

  • Inge Betcher says:

    Dear Joanne, Marcia and Egon
We would like to express our deepest sympathy in the passing of Adelheid. Memories of her are of being a good friend in our youth, sharing activities like choir and orchestra. It was a privilege to be maid of honour at her wedding. And in later years as young marrieds on holidays in the Okanagan and Vancouver (how did she ever convince me to ride the rollercoaster?) Then came visits with our young families. And many years later celebrating a Golden Wedding anniversary. Our memories are of a woman who loved the Lord, her family, who enjoyed fun, and who was hospitable and generous. She will be missed.
Love from Inge and Ron Betcher

  • Catherine Kipp and Family says:

    My family in Canada,
Our thoughts and love are with you. When i got out of the airplane in 1990 in Kelowna, nobody could have known that we just fit. Adelheid just called me „daughter“ in Germany. Enough to know how we feel. We are with you ❤️

  • Edith Grube- Lange says:

My deepest sympathy to you, the family. Adelheid was a dear friend to me through all these years that I’ve lived in Kelowna. When we first arrived here she was the first to come over and welcome us as a family with a cake in hand. I will miss her.

  • Monica Kaplun says:

My sincere condolences to the family and friends for the loss of dear Adelheid. I pray comfort and peace always be with you.

  • Carol Klammer says:

What a beautiful service honoring a special lady. I remember Adelheid being one of the first people to hire me as a babysitter for Joanne and Marcia. Her love for family and her laughter will always be remembered. I remember when my Dad was dying Adelheid made a delicious soup for our family even though she herself was not well. Her kindness will be remembered.

  • Helen Neudorf says:

Heartfelt condolences to Egon;, Joanne& Marcia , God grant you His perfect Peace during these difficult days of adjusting . I’ll miss the friendly chats we enjoyed in Summerwood. God Bless you Egon.

  • Art & Betty Klukas says:

    Dear Joanne & Marcia,
Our deepest sympathies and prayers go out to you and your dad during this difficult time. Your mom will definitely be missed, but we pray that you will feel the love, comfort and peace of the Lord in a special way. We were so touched by your mom’s funeral service. What a beautiful tribute to her! As you shared, Joanne, how precious that she “slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus” and that you have the certain hope of being reunited with her again in heaven.
1 Peter 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you,”
